1. Who we are

This service is operated by Mananect (sole proprietor: Taichi Naganuma), based in Japan. You can contact us by email at bookstore1308@gmail.com. We operate as an individual business and do not publish a postal address; please reach us by email (our address is disclosed without delay upon request — see our Commercial disclosure). Where an EU/UK representative is appointed (§9), their contact will be listed here.

For purchases, Lemon Squeezy, LLC is the Merchant of Record (seller of record) and handles your payment and billing information (see lemonsqueezy.com/privacy). We do not store your card details.

2. What we collect

• Email address — when you join a waitlist, use a free tool, or subscribe (with your consent).
• Usage / analytics data — pages viewed, referrer, coarse region, via Cloudflare Web Analytics (cookieless, privacy-first — no cross-site tracking). Essential cookies only.
• Order / fulfillment data — product purchased and delivery status (payment & billing handled by Lemon Squeezy).

We do not collect special-category data, and we do not sell your personal data.

4. Cookies & tracking

We use essential cookies only. Our analytics (Cloudflare Web Analytics) is cookieless, so no analytics consent banner is required. If we later add any non-essential cookies, we will ask for your consent (EU/UK) first.

5. Who we share with (processors)

• Lemon Squeezy, LLC — payments & tax (Merchant of Record).
• Resend — sending transactional & subscription email.
• Cloudflare — hosting, CDN, and cookieless analytics.

Each operates under a Data Processing Agreement (DPA). We do not sell or rent your data.

6. International transfers

We are based in Japan; your data may be processed outside the EEA/UK. Where required we rely on appropriate safeguards (e.g., Standard Contractual Clauses or provider safeguards).

7. Your rights

• EU / UK (GDPR / UK-GDPR): access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection, and withdraw consent at any time.
• California (CCPA/CPRA): know, delete, correct, and opt out of “sale/share” (we do not sell or share).

To exercise any right, email bookstore1308@gmail.com. We respond within one month (GDPR). You may also complain to your local supervisory authority.

8. Retention

• Email: kept while you are subscribed. After you unsubscribe or withdraw consent, we keep only a minimal suppression record (so we do not contact you again) and delete the rest.
• Account / order records: until account closure, or 1 year from your last purchase (billing/tax records are retained by Lemon Squeezy as Merchant of Record).
• Analytics: aggregate, cookieless — no personal data is stored.

10. Governing law

This policy is governed by the laws of Japan. This does not remove the mandatory data-protection rights available to EU / UK / California residents under their local law, which apply regardless. Your purchase contract is with Lemon Squeezy as Merchant of Record and is governed by their terms.

We may update this policy; the “Last updated” date shows the latest version.
